This Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 7:00—8:30 pm in the church we’re pleased to offer a mission for all members of St. Raymond Parish. Fr. Kwame Assenyoh of the Catholic Community of Pleasanton will be giving the mission. Perhaps you have heard Fr. Kwame speak. Fr. Mark Weisner of St. Charles Borromeo parish in Livermore had Fr. Kwame for a mission at his parish and he say Fr. Kwame “rocks!”
Fr. Kwame just returned from celebrating his 20th anniversary of priestly ordination in his home village in Ghana, West Africa. He’s excited to join us for this mission, which will be on getting the most out of the “repeatable” sacraments of the Catholic Church: the sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Communion and the Anointing of the Sick. Please join us for this special Advent Parish Mission.
I want to express my gratitude to our Knights of Columbus for their extraordinary effort to organize the re- cent food and supply drive for the Camp fire victims. With your help and that of the community at large we were able to fill 4 large delivery trucks with food, supplies and over $16,000 in gift cards. I know the fire victims are very grateful for everyone’s generosity and support. Thank you!
Lastly, on Thanksgiving Day St. Raymond held the 7th annual Thanksgiving Community Outreach dinner. With the help of a number of local faith communities, volunteers served a delicious Thanksgiving dinner to over 250 people.
Many others of our parish helped organize and serve the needy among us. That’s the spirit of Thanksgiving and of our Christian faith! A couple of photos of the Thanksgiving Outreach are included on this page.
To all the wonderful people involved in supporting our Camp fire drive and our Thanksgiving Outreach Dinner, may God abundantly bless you.
Yours in Christ,
Fr. Lawrence D’Anjou
