Feb 16-17, St. Raymond High School Youth Group joined with St. Joan of Arc teens for the annual 30 hour famine. These teens didn’t eat for 30 hours to spend a day in solidarity with the children all over the world hungry, thousands who will die today.
The teens went and served at the St. Vincent de Paul thrift store in Livermore, St. Vincent de Paul in Oakland and others took lunches to the Tenderloin to give to the poor on the streets of San Francisco.
Together these teens raised nearly $14,000 dollars for World Vision. This money will help feed and care for over 250 children for a month.
We are so very proud of our young people who really emulated solidarity last weekend.
